The TEAM Academy is at risk! We need your help!

On March 5, 2026 the AWHS Principal Jacob Gran announced that the TEAM Academy would be cut from a two-year program to one year. Effective immediately. No discussion. No vote.

Per the California Education Code, program-level decisions of this nature require TUHSD Board approval.

This program change must get a public hearing and board attention.  However, it was not on the TUHSD Board Meeting agenda on March 11th, nor on the agenda of the March 24th meeting.

More than 75 students and parents attended the last district meeting to explain how problematic this change would be, in terms of the program’s mission and integrity. Parents have reached out to Principal Gran to schedule a school community meeting, but no date has been set yet.

We need your help to get this item on the Agenda of the April 14th TUHSD Board Meeting .

Here is how you can help:

  1. JOIN US at the next TUHSD Board Meeting

    this Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at 6:30 PM

    at Redwood High School (Kreps Conference Center), 395 Doherty Drive, Larkspur.

    Students and parents will be there again to further explain why they are protesting this program cut.

  2. REQUEST VIA EMAIL that the TEAM Academy item is on the Agenda for the April 14, 2026 TUHSD Board Meeting.
