TEAM fosters Academic Success

The TEAM Academy serves 11th and 12th grade students, delivering academic courses consistent with Tamalpais Union High School District policy and requirements. 

TEAM focuses on social justice themes and addresses relevant issues within their community and world. Students will also focus on interdisciplinary project based learning throughout their time in the program!

11th GRADE

A typical Junior year consists of seven (7) class periods.

Three (3) of these are reserved for TEAM Academy classes.

Example of a Junior Year class list:

  1. TEAM Leadership (mixed with senior Peer Tutors)

  2. TEAM Wilderness Medicine

  3. TEAM Social Studies

  4. Math (student’s own placement)

  5. Class/Elective of your choice* (typically Chemistry)

  6. Class/Elective of your choice*

  7. Class/Elective of your choice*

Junior TEAM Academy classes are clustered on Mondays and the Wed/Fri block days.

On select Fridays (about once a month) the entire Junior class leaves school for a local hike.

12th GRADE

A typical Senior year consists of seven (7) class periods.

Three (3) of these will be reserved for TEAM Academy classes.

  1. TEAM Leadership (some Peer tutors)

  2. TEAM Social Studies

  3. TEAM Workplace Learning

  4. Class/Elective of your choice*

  5. Class/Elective of your choice*

  6. Class/Elective of your choice*

  7. Class/Elective of your choice*

Senior TEAM Academy classes are clustered on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

On select Thursdays (about once a month) the entire Senior class leaves school for a local hike.

* Class/Elective of your choice: any class the students chooses, including Advanced Placement (AP) classes, classes offered at the College of Marin (COM), and all school-counselor-approved on-line classes.
